Jordan Dominique Bramblett... was the suggested name at birth for me from my parents. Throughout the late 80's into the early 90's the rivalry between Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins were very competitive. Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins were my father's favorite players at that time. Most Remembered from the Famous '86 NBA Slam Dunk Contest where 'Nique was the victor. The Rematch would go down again in 1988 where MJ defended his Slam Dunk Contest Championship against 'Nique where MJ seized and won the battle.
I had a talk with both my mother and father, asking them Why they named me my name when I was born.... This is what they said:
Mom: "At the time Michael Jordan was the shit with the Bulls Championships, your middle name was supposed to be Dominique (Dominique Wilkins) but I don't know what happened and where Demetrius came from."
Daddy: "I came up with Jordan, because I was a big Michael Jordan fan. I was a "Full-Blood" Michael Jordan Junkie. He was Very Very competitive and he played his heart out to win Every Game!"
Dominique wouldn't be my middle name though, Demetrius was chosen and I think that it is a better feel anyway for my name. So it stands as the man you know now....
